    BonSeff: I can't tell you how many prognoses on unborn children that I know of personally, that have been completely wrong. Case in point: a good friend of mine was told, prior to giving birth to the child, that she had a serious chromosome issue that would prevent her from speaking, living independantly, etc... Long story short, the physicians were right about the chromosomal syndrome, but completely wrong about how capable and amazing the child would be. She is doing great. She is full of joy and is a blessing to everyone she meets.

    Further, it is incredibly rare for a physician to be able to determine, prior to birth, that a child is going to be "severely retarded". Your argument doesn't hold water.
