Sorry to hear your predicament dude, thats really fucked up.
I wouldn't rush off back to the state though, stick around and try to find another studio, it would seem like a real waste if this happened, and you didnt try to soldier on for at least a month or two.
Oh and get that fuckups phone number and give him some shit, only a complete prick leaves someone high and dry like that.
