Gangsta was the new suburban mainstream circa 10 years ago.
I personally never thought any of it was cool, the way famous rappers live is the height of crass consumption but they claim to still be true to their urban roots...as if gangbanging is something one should be proud of. I am still regularly amazed at what kids in this country think is dope. Now that generation has grown up and soccer moms are rocking songs about bitches, guns and drugs.
Makes no sense.
