The babe was on whiskey and hookers; stop pretending substance abuse wasn't always a problem in baseball. 162 games a year is a whole hell of a lot, gotta get through somehow.
Steroids or not, he hit those balls, not the roids. If he wasn't such a twat, it wouldn't be half the problem it is. 20 years from now they'll be talking about him like he cured cancer, just like Ted Williams (another King-sized twat).

on one side of the coin bonds has one of the best swings in baseball and has an amazing talent. he's gotten big over the years but what's to say that's not from getting old, diet and hard training? guys who are getting older in the league have to work out twice as hard to keep up with the younger players.
on the other side of the coin there is the cream and the clear, which if you ask me, were more for his joints and aches and pains then they were for hitting a ball out of the park. guys i know who have taken about every steroid on the planet talk of how they make your joints feel better above all else. so... who the fuck knows.
if barry wasn't such an ass people might not be making such a big deal about it.
a-rod will be breaking his record soon anyways so who gives a shit. a-rod is the poster boy of baseball. (kinda)
