when it comes down to it, most design is only about aesthetics, and is therefore a superfluous endeavor.
As a designer I am constantly torn between my love of art and creation, and shame for the sheer excess of our culture.
so really, I don't give a shit about what most things in my life look like as long as they work well.
and I REALLY don't care if my fuckin mp3 player matches anything. (and i'd never spend $300 on one)
