Vector, I acutally think brazil played really bad, nothing against mexico,

you do remember how many world cups they won, right?

so is it a crime to think brazil coulded done a lot better?

Yeah, but nothing is being said about the good things that some mexican players did.
Besides, We could also say that mexico made brazil look bad, can't we? Sure they sucked ass, but so did Mexico, and still the inexperienced players that played for mexico that play in mexico and not europe, did better than them.

What about the world cups they have won? That is kinda pointless. THis players didn't win them. Old and retired players did. It doesn't say anything about the performance of a team on a tournament or game. So can we say Uruguay is a world power in football? nah!! And they won the world cup twice.

A lot of the problem when we talk about a nation that has a history of good football and loses against another team, people say the soccer power simply didn't play good. And it's kinda getting old.
In the last 10 games between mexico and brazil, Mexico has won 7 of them, and the other 3 left are 2 ties and one loss. And this including players like ronaldinho, adriano, kaka, dida, robert carlos, etc... And still people say brazil plays bad when they lose and don't say the other team beat them and did good.

I have an amazing amount of respect for Brazil. and other NTs like the Netherlands and Germany, that I enjoy to watch, and Brazil in particular that can play beautiful soccer.

But things have changed. Teams that were always a headache are now good opposition and the laughingstock of teams like US, are now becoming a headache for bigger teams.

More than anything is not that those great football nations play bad when they lose, it's that the other nations are now contenders and can shut them down.
