mexico wont evenmake it to the semi finales... ever... maybe once... did that happend already?

Since Mexico started competing in Copa America about maybe 15 years ago (if I am not mistaken) Mexico has been in the finals twice, and another 2 times Mexico has reached the semifinals winning the game for the 3rd place.
In World cups Mexico has reached the quarterfinals twice and has been in the handful of teams that constantly advances out of the group stages.
