i've been with ntl/ telewest/ virgin for a while with some problems, but not much.
Since virgin took over, and they've fucked a few thingsa up, I merely call them now and again with a small complaint, flirt a bit with the CS woman and usually end up with a better deal.
My advise is be nice, don't lose your rag and butter them up a bit. If all else fails, threaten to leave.
Last time I mentioned moving to Sky, I was given 8mb broadband upgrade plus all TV channels.
