Watched a great programme last night about the UK's policy of non-involvement in the civil war, the extent to which I had not quite appreciated.
One interesting thing - I didn't know that 4,000 Basque kids were taken to Blighty for protection - the programme showed a handful of people who stayed in the UK, including one cute old geezer who was patently Basquish but sported a Welsh twang to his accent :)
