I hate going out for drinks or food with people from work and I happen to see what they tip (if it is bad).
I have no qualms about going back to the table to add more if it was a group bill, or adjust mine to compensate.
As far as going back, I try not to make it obvious to embarrass the person, but sometimes it is just egregious and my asshole nature shines at its fullest, haha.
Personally, I tip 30%+ on average because of knowing so many people who get paid jack-shit and need tips to function in society day-to-day.
That and deep down I’m a nice person (or like to think I am, haha).
