The drive would not mount. It was whining and crunching, very loud. Finally got it to mount by an Apple tech and it took an hour to copy a 75KB file...so had to send it off to a lab for the diagnostic or possible repair.
In this case, Disk Warrior, Data Rescue or any shit like that, can't even touch it.
Some stuff was backed up...but blame it on being slack and really busy I guess.
Lesson learned. *reaches for Kleenex
