i am going to just say this:
have you ever indulged her in something so ephemeral, so fleeting that all the time, cost, coordination in such a task made it that all the more unbelieveable for you both (her the act/experience, you the experience of witnessing her in it)?an example, tried but true, would be the decadent draping, in the entire suite you were staying in, of nothing but one type of flower petals. everywhere. across anything standing in the room, balcony and bath.
the thought that all those will not last, that they will be waste soon, that the money you put towards that display of respect and love was not about the material, but specifically about the act of providing an experience of wonder for that one time only, for them.
that, whatever it may result in, is what i would feel for my partner as a wonderful event.
