    stay away from maxtor and lacie and stick with seagate and western digital.

    I'd have to agree, particularly because of the posts here and problems people have been having in general. Of course, you could just try it for yourself (kind of like the PC versus mac argument), so this is just a suggestion.

    I haven't had my Western Digital one for that long (obviously), so I don't really have an opinion yet. It's working well so far :P
