I thought the title of the thread said "KOBE" on it.

nash is a good team player, and at least 1 of those MVPs he won he more than deserves. He does make his teamates better. However, as it has been argued, nash is only offensively oriented. Kobe is both. Kobe's position isn't a point gaurd, he is a shooting gaurd, and he does make his teamates better, not always by a pass, but simply by other players not wanting to let Kobe down in terms of helping. So they push a bit harder too.

Before the millions of injuries to the Lakers this year, the Lakers were in the top 4-5 in the league, However, 3 of the 5 Laker starters have all been out over 20 games each, and Kobe was left alone. It was tough, and Kobe's teamates are getting better.

For example, before he injured his ankle, Luke Walton was a candidate for MIP (Most Improved Player) of the Year.

Before he injured his knee, Lamar Odom was almost a lock to have an all star year.

Everyone wants to say the MVP should go to the player who is on the better team (ie. Dirk, Nash).

However, Kobe isn't playing with Josh Howard, and Jason Terry. Kobe isn't playing with Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion (All all-stars minus Terry).

Kobe is playing (finally) with Luke Walton, Lamar Odom, and a bunch of second hand parts.

I am not saying Nash and Dirk don't deserve recognition, but Kobe is the best player.

Just one more thing to add.
3 seconds left on the clock and you need a hoop, which of the 3 players would you want the ball in his hands?

As many people have said, commentators, other NBA players and coaches have said, they would all pick Kobe.

What is funny too, is that everyone in the world knows who is going to take the last shot, and who the ball is going to. It just they still can't stop him.
