1and1 took down a clients' site accusing them of spamming - with no warning. Other than that - they've been fine with me over the years.
My venture - we use bluehost. There's a serious lack of small print on their site.
No SSH unless you send them a copy of your passport - and instant termination of your account should you even accidentally traverse out of your root folder.
100 email limit per hour.
That sort of thing...
