The news networks called the items in question packages. There was nothing package-like about them. They were this black circuit boards with leds on the outter facing side.
The police and city infastructure take themselves too seriously. Yeah I know this is post nine eleven, but leave it to uptight Boston to make a big deal out of this. I'm sure the other cities that had this campaign saw it for what it was and didn't make the stink Boston did. It wasn't that hard to see what these were even from a distance.
I live 2 blocks away from the one that was placed on the BU Bridge.
This is just another reason why Boston is falling away from it's international city status.
