hmmm. don't know.
the US has a very generic def. of white. pretty much color of skin. some of my Jewish pals refer to themselves as white and some look at you like you're crazy if you describe as white.some blacks love it it they can pass for white and some whites spend most of their lives trying to get darker.
i, on the other hand, love it when i can pass for "employed" when i apply for a loan.
