Now we are in the web 2.0 era I wonder if psychiatrists have yet noticed an increase in uptake, or at least, a differentiation in complaints or symptoms. I wonder how these new forms of communication have benefitted our social skills, and when I say benefitted, obviously what I mean is - how in hell do we cope with that feeling of impending doom when we realise the glaring truth that 'IRL' we will almost certainly be an enormous disappointment to those we meet.
