  giuliani is credited with cleaning up the city, though the crime rate dropped pretty much everywhere in the country around the same time and the rest was the work of the police commissioner. he did sanitize times square, which basically amounted to him selling off a bunch of public land to disney. he serves his corporate interests just like any good politician should.

  actually what cleaned up the city was the fact that the NYPD were allowed to carry glock 9mm with full magazines for their "undercover" divisions. it's these same un-uniformed officers that have been reeking havoc on the city for years. such as this recent event this past weekend http://www.nydailynews.com/front…
