How many months of snow on the ground up there? November through April I'm guessing?
So it's a summer car, and what a stupid purchase. Personally, I'd get something much better for snow driving, some sort of SUV for way less than that price, and pick up a cool old convertable, an Alfa Romeo Spider or something classic, do a little fix up work, and have a nice convertable for summer weather.
