yes.. you can use component.. however, I would advise using VGA, so in the near future you'll be able to run it at 1080p (1920x1080).. I've got a Dell 24", although I use my 360 with my 1080p set.. Are you planning on getting the HD-DVD add on? Then I would especially recommend the VGA cables, as that's the only way you'll get the full detail out of it.. I'm not certain you can exceed 1080i from components on the Dells.
