your "on ice" team will consist os 2C, 2RW, 2LW and 4 Defence but you also have to obtain 6 bench players so you can switch people in and out of the line up and you have in injuried reserve. So yeah you will have to have those player but you can get more. Also remember it isn't solely based on goals and assists. You can get alot of points in you have PIM and face offs and Game winning goals. SO make sure you pick players that can also do those things.
