I agree about the splash page, I sat there waiting for something to happen for a while, if you want to keep it, would sudgest working on the layout a little, and adding your contact info to it, along with an enter site message.
Also the main site layout could use some work.
If this is your new business and you want to take it seriously then I'd say investing a couple of hundred quid in a simple, well put together site would be better than showing an outdated looking shoddy home made site.
I've seen far worse mind.
