Your work is great and I'm sure you'll find work anywhere you anchor but get yourself a good pimp if you are new to the area. UK is doing fairly well but you know the deal with taxes and overheads at the moment and housing certainly isn't anything cheery to speak about. Would you consider France as a place to settle? I know it's tricky to juggle the logistics of a move with working at the same time so plan ahead and put in contingencies for episodes of "shit-happens". How old's your kid, is schooling a priority?
