in that case, i recommend you get in a cab and get the hell out of midtown.
i just moved from 28th/5th ave. that area is dead.
go to chelsea (maritime hotel?) for cocktails, then head down to the lower east side or the village for yr dirty whiskey. and let the NT crew know if you do go out for dirty whiskey, because that's where pretty much everyone would go anyway :)
