dude honestly there about a zillion system tweaks out there. www.osxhints.com can offer tips on a million.... you best bet is to buy a book on the OS and check out mac sites for info. Just as if you were using Windows.. it takes learning and investigating. There are tweaks available to kill the shadows, kill the folder opening effect to make it more like OS 9 (aka faster), swap your VM file to other drive for speed performance, assigning hot keys,... etc.
