I'm a Miami Beachian stuck in LA. Lived there for 18 years.
What kind of bars/clubs are you looking for? Have you been before?
Wish is pretty good. So is Prime 112. Both of those are for steak. Joe's Stone Crab is a must, but go for lunch or go early, otherwise you'll be stuck waiting about 3 hours for a table. You can also just do take out and you're in and out, and you can just go eat and chill on the beach or at your hotel. If you happen to be near Espanola Way (about 14th and Washington) go eat at Hosteria Romana. It's a delicious italian restaurant. Friends of the fam. He opened it about 4 years ago and it was this little hole in the wall. Now they've expanded twice and the place gets packed! But it's a great atmosphere, the waiter's sing, and Marco, the host and owner is a big jolly Italian guy.
