Regardless of what you would or wouldn;t say to each other, or rather, what you shopuld or shouldn't say...you would both want each other there in the same situation.
Rise above the stuff that's been going on and just remember that he's your dad, and he's in hospital, and that every day is a chance to let him know that you love him, regardless.
When he is gone...you won't be able to say the things that you cannot say now.
Unconditional love is the key to all the ills of the world.
