'Goalie Dominik Hasek took part in Ottawa's practice Wednesday morning, but will not play in Game 3 of the Senators' semifinal playoff series against Buffalo.
Ottawa coach Bryan Murray liked what he saw, but was not prepared to give a timetable on the goalie's return. Hasek has been sidelined since injuring his groin in the Olympics in February. "He was quite active," Murray said. "He probably could play if he had to, but he's not going to."
Hasek practised extensively on Wednesday for the first time in two months, and looked sharp throughout the short workout.
"I can feel a huge improvement," Hasek said. "I finally feel like a goalie."
The Sabres are up 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.'
