well, the Netherlands feels small too.. you almost always meet familiar people anywhere throughout the country..
most young creatives already left this region (southwest, agricultural, i was born in this areas' biggest city: 45,000 inhabitants.. lol!), since it has no or little climate for design/artists.. i am one of the last mohikans here.. :)
i am planning to move to another small country soon, tho: Belgium!
