hmmm. i actually have a friend who is a fine wine distributor who sells to A LOT of the nice places around and in chicago. I tell her after she makes a sale to ask about a re-desing of menus or a web site. she drops my name and gives them a card if interested and if i get the gig because of her i give her 40%. sounds like a lot i know but it gives her incentive to push my skills.
i do know most pro places that get you work will charge in the vicinity of 25%
