Try the clams, quail, cod cake apps., maybe the chorizo if your hungry, it's a hunk. For mains ask about specials, if they have picanha and you need the red meat this is it. Barbecued sliced from the skewer it is good. Pork and clam is a classic, the house bacalhau is finished with a mayonnaise over onions and peppers. You know how to order. There is lots of food per order, also lots of salt. Be sure to save you grease quotient for the week because lots of dishes come with home made chips. Go with a bunch of folks so you can play esp. with the apps. Its not the finest in the world, but really good. Maybe 35.00 per person appetizer, main course, a beer. and tip. + or -

Bacalhau, local pork, homemade sausages, try the chicken and chorizo, local farm chicken which we have not yet tried, whole pigs and on and on. Wait on the olive oils for Seabra's- more variety and fresher. You have to buy caju, in a container like the chicken stock, made from the fruit of cashew nuts.

Don't go on a Sunday night there won't be any food. Beware you get fries and rice with eat order and its alot. Soups are great, Picanha there too

On the main drag there is Brazilian place called chicken king or something like that. Food by weight, cafeteria style ala the oriental places in town, but this typical in Brazil. Again cheap, some of it is really wonderful.

To get Seabra, the supermarket, follow South Pavilion Ave. out of town, it slants into a road- take that left and you will go by a gas station on your left. Follow the hood of the car and Seabra's is on your left. Lots of weird shit"
