msg33 : i have a training schedule that starts you out at 2 miles and ramps up to about 6 or 7. The goal was more first 10k/11k.
i'll send it to your email.
for me, i ran for about 6 months until i hit the barrier of running above 10 miles. my goal was to run in the Seattle Half Marathon, but I never made it. I did, however, do a 11k halfway around Crater Lake at a really high elevation of 5k. that felt good.
but i also stopped 'cause of the frequent injuries. i ride fixed now which one helluva workout and do the occasional weekend run here or there.
