ha ha .. brilliant! I'm glad this subject hasn't simply been shat on from a great height..
ad1, thanks for bringing up the issue of tissue paper foldage, again this Advanced Technique (see chapter 12) is one I suspect our NAmerican brethren don't indulge in - from some of the answers here, folding would lead to a 28 ply wipe (7 sheets of 2-ply folded)! - ie. a bulk of paper similar in volume to a kitten, like someone's already suggested.
