damn..
i just knew when i saw that post on k10k, someone here probably beat me to the punch...but i thought i'd post it anyhow..
and yeah..it does seem a bit scaryyou can see how the tides of marketing and everything changes as you get older..
cars, products etc, all used to have the most retarded jingles when i was a kid, or so i thought..
now, i can' help but notice the ads these days are all backed up musically by songs i grew up with...
one day its the smiths 'how soon is now' in a beer commercial, next thing ya know it's ozzy osbournes crazy train on a car commercial..
now some exec at disney has found a way to push old devo tunes on kids and make a profit..when i become a power hungery exec, looking to put one over on the masses, i'm gonna buy up all the robert frip music i can, and force everyone to listen to 'in the court of the crimson king' over and over as i use it to sell tampons and a new delicious cherry flavoured gatorade
