    Whoah. Dude.

First, if you've ever dealt with union labor, and I have to the point of exhaustion, you should know damn well that this has absolutely nothing to do with those 33,000 employees. Every NY union is corrupt. It's about them rattling cages. Those employees want this way less than you. During a strike, they don't work, they do not get paid.

Second, you want to talk about crippling the city? Every single one of those employees, if fired, are now entitled to anywhere from 200 to 400 a week in NY state unemployment. Let's tak the low end. If 200 for every person that is 6.6 mil every week until they have new jobs. Now, let's take the average cost of traing new minimum wage personel. Let's say low end 10 bucks an hour, for a two week training period. That's 52.8 million dollars to train personnel, with a grand total of almost 60 mil for that solution.

And we have not added in all the other crap from lost time for the rest of the city and 5 burroughs.

Dontcha think it might be cheaper to send over all the whores and booze they can take to the union officials??
