If you want to learn a foreign language my advice is to start with Danish.
That'll cure you of daft idea like that within 5 lessons max.
But for real though, go to an evening class or something for conversational whatever language it is, find some native speakers and practise a bit with them, often they'll be happy to practise your native tongue too, so both learn from it.
Also comic books, newspapers if available etc etc..
Once you feel quite comfortable speaking to native speakers go and live there for a year, only way to learn properly really try not to get sucked into speaking English with everyone either.
