Maybe gondry realized that Kanye was just a marketing ploy and he didn't want to be involved.
Or maybe he realized that Kanye really didn't have anything to offer the music world except a face that wasn't 50 Cents...
Or maybe he realized that he was overshadowing Kanye with his talent...
Or maybe he realized that Kanye was sorta boring... and american.
Or maybe he realized that he was doing a video for Kanye West and not Adam West, which would've been much more fun because he could've done the wacky wall walking trick they used back in the old Batman TV show...
