ID is current science which sees design in biological systems.
Nothing to do with religion. You clearly didn't read the link I posted for you above. The "religion" comes into play after ID science has been left behind and people begin asking WHO the designer is. I think your disconnect is in understanding when something should be categorized as science and when it should be categorized as theology.
