the offer pedro had was the best one out there until the mets ponied up. the 'disrespect' was bullshit. they didn't want to give him four years because he's been having shoulder problems and probably won't last a quality four years. Pedro didn't want to be #2 to Schilling, plain and simple. Had he stayed, he would've been #1 this year for sure. And, he's a diva, a total pain in the ass. I miss him, but at the same time, good fucking riddance.
