i have deeper theories on these matters tho...
I think the American (Dream) culture is all about making a fortune, from zero to hero, which is great!
BUT..
i think this is one of the reasons, and the relatively young culture, the USA has not developed really well in cuisine as most Europeans (but also Asian, ofcourse!!) countries did..
but I am too tired now to go all deeper into that filosophy..
maybe tommorow..
anyway, my favorite holiday destination is Provence (southern France).. food doesn't get any more pure and tastefull as it is there... the cheese, the meat, the wine, the vegetables... goddamn...
I just wet my keyboard..Portugal rocks when it comes to fish tho!! We ate fish every day over there.. mmmmmmm..yummie!!!
but yeah, if you are always in a hurry with carreers and such... people prefer to eat plastic over real food...
well, good for them.
