Soz to bump this thread, but my boy Niall came back last night, and we got proper drunkard, and he had hundreds of pictures, and we were all reminiscing about our adventures in the sub-continent together.

When we were staying in Indian controlled Kashmir, we were hanging around the son of our hotel’s owner, and he was showing us around Srinigar etc.. So we were walking out in the lush valleys and there was the path, and this kid thought, hey let’s take the short-cut through here.

Well no sooner did we go down the short cut than we heard mad whistles and shouts telling us to stop, and two Indian army mo-fo’s came running up behind us and stopped us. And asked our “guide” - “yahaan sey quoan jah rahay ho?!” (why the fuck are you going down here). To which he replied, in hindi, well it’s the shortcut, we’re going back to the hotel. Then the army guys seeing Niall decided to speak in English, just so he understood how they were humiliating him. So they said to the kid [in English], “say sorry”. And he said sorry. Then they said, “lower your head and apologise”. So he kinda bowed his head and apologised. Then they told him to get on his knees. So he did. Then they told him to get on his knees and act like a chicken – waving his arms and going “cluck cluck cluck”, and hop around. So he did. And all the while these two cunts were absolutely pissing themselves laughin, humiliating this kid in front of us. And I saw a big billboard behind the heads of the army guys - a picture of an Indian soldier helping this old Kashmiri man carry water from a well. And then I looked at these two army guys laughing at this kid acting like a chicken infront of us. For the rest of the day the kid barely talked to us, he felt so humiliated.

Made me sick to my stomach cos he was roughly our age, and we’d spent all this time drinking dodgy whisky together, smoking charis, listening to cheesy Kashmiri music, lounging on the boats. He was a kid who had respect from both of us, and he knew it. We tried to console him and tell him to forget about it and that we understood the Indian Army are mother fuckers and cunts, but it’s difficult.

Ee, it’s enough to radicalise a young Pakistani Muslim from Leeds, I tell thee.
