the boss said he was in a good mood and at 11:15am sent us all to tgi fridays for lunch. it was a beautiful day and he wanted us all to walk across the street to enjoy it. he'll be there in a bit.
he never showed.
when we got back to the office all out computers were locked and pink notices of termination were on all our desks.
he sat behind each of us and watched us as we burned our personal files to cds.
he missed me deleting a few key dll and program files. when he went to the can to 'drop the kids off at the pool' as he called it, i removed most of the ram and the two slave hard drives. i also stuffed two spindles of blank cds and whatever else i could into my backpack.

i found a job a week later but some people didn't. people were crying and yelling. i just sat there saying to myself 'karma is a bitch, he'll get his.'
years later he's broke, divorced, can't see his kids, an addict and had most of his personal possessions repo'd.
