Does anyone else recall the news, the weather channel, cnn, fox etc... claiming how lucky NOLA was because they didn't receive a direct hit? They received what amounted to be a cat2 or 3 type wind gust which is pretty bad but not worst case scenario. The problems in NOLA are a direct result of inadequate levy construction. Blame that on whomever but in today’s engineering ability this was absolutely preventable.
