    i was talking to my brother in law about all this the other night...and it strikes me as hollow that whole, 'ahh, the poor could have gotten out if they really wanted to....

    really?
    how?

    fare for the bus?..what if they don't have enough cash..should they just walk out of town..with a fucking hurricane on the way?

    where are they supposed to sleep?...motels, even the cheapest cost money...money they dont' have...and you can't sleep outside during a hurricane..

    so what do you do?...you stay home, batton down the hatches and pray that you can ride it out...and that someone will help you if you cant...

    so they did.

    and they were really incredibly wrong..

    no one was able to help much..
    atleast not when it counted..
