That happened about 3 blocks from my house. The whole south coast area was closed for 4 hrs and there were helicopters overhead all night. Really pissed me off at the time, thought they were doing some sort of helecopter training.
One of my buddies drives an ambulance, and told me that after 3+ hrs of searching the largest body part found was the thigh, and the head had still not been located. They were worried it had gotten lodged in someones car undercarrage.
Very strange, very unfortunate.
