working in an apple store, i must say that we all cheered when the mighty mouse was announced. I don't mind the cord one bit. I'm sure they'll release a bluetooth version in some time. They always tend to introduce the basic version of a product first to boost sales, then introduce the better version later to get even more buyers. That's the way apple works. So expect a bluetooth mouse soon.
On that note, I've heard that Bluetooth actually emits 3x more radiation than a mobile phone, so I don't recommend those products to pregnant women. :P
