taken from a DJ Shadow track. I have since attepmted to give it 'meaning'...
It's a bit ambiguous but has connotations of growth, as in the stem of a plant, supplying nutrients.
And also it sounds like it may have something to do with stem cells - I like it's associations with the concept of the ability to change and adapt and ultimately the potential of something so small and seemingly insignificant.
And also one thing stems from another, meaning, in order to look forward, we must have an understanding of our past, a small part of a process.
