i guess that doesn't explain why, though, does it?
used to be my vj handle cos i liked the idea of usning a word for a naturally occurring visual effect when i was picking one out. plus it has overtones of greek goddessness.

also, it has another name in english, moondog, which is what i used to call my little nephew when he was born.
it's such a cute, ludic, laika kind of a name. cosmonauts!
