yup you've got to see powell's and (bearing in mind i haven't been there for a long, long time) the pearl district has some good art galleries and cafes. around pnca there's usually some cool stuff to see and do. belmont ave in se and woodstock ave are both good. the delta cafe, the paradox cafe, any of the mcmenamin's cinema pubs are a good cheap date, nw trendy-third (23rd) has all the hipster gear, and just a few streets over is restaurant row (21st) where all teh foodies congregate. rocco's pizza is an old fave and a good night out is usually to be found at fellini's/satyricon. the lutz tavern is an absolute must.
